My granddad had about 30 of these books. I used to study them and look for names of people in our county and the neighboring county. I found my granddad’s name, as he was president of the county court for many years, as it was called in his day. They were really interesting to a young 12 year old who had dreams of being in some of those offices. The books were huge and took up a lot of room on the book case.
