This is a well-written synopsis of the community of my ancestors. For four years, I lived with my grandparents to attend school in the 2-room schoolhouse with classes taught by the wonderful Pallotine nuns. This was in the mid-50’s when the school was operated as a public-private institution with costs shared between Marshall County and the church. This would be an interesting topic to be explored for inclusion in the encyclopedia.
