This a good article. However, it should also be noted that a Vocational Rehabilitation Unit existed within the walls of this facility from approximately 1967-1978. This was not widely publicized. Incorporated within the program were remedial education, vocational evaluation and psychometric testing, vocational training (with several small business enterprises), individual and group therapy, psychological and psychiatric services, medical, visual and dental services. Hopefully, the prisoner would return to the community as a rehabilitated individual better equipped to handle the demands of society.
